An institution for the formation of nationally-minded leaders and an informed public through the preservation, transmission, and renewal of the intellectual and cultural inheritance of the English-speaking peoples.
The English-speaking peoples share a valuable civilisational inheritance — of common law, constitutional government, individual liberty, and Christian faith — that is under sustained assault from within. The institutions that were built to transmit this inheritance have been captured by an ideology that is hostile to it.
No existing institution in Britain or the United States combines an educational curriculum in the national inheritance, public-facing events and membership for the nationally-minded general public, and a selective leadership programme that identifies and develops people of exceptional capacity to govern in the national interest.
The Albion Institute fills this gap. Its mission is to form nationally-minded leaders and an informed public capable of governing in the national interest as a civilisational obligation. We do this through the Albion Academy: a six-module educational curriculum in the British and Anglospheric inheritance, an annual conference and regional programme, and a leadership cohort that identifies and forms people of exceptional capacity across politics, business, law, media, education, and community life.
The institute is British in its focus but Anglospheric in its scope. The British inheritance did not stay in Britain — it crossed several oceans and produced the constitutional, legal, and cultural architecture of the English-speaking world. The American constitutional tradition preserved liberties that Britain itself has abandoned. The Albion Institute exists to unite the English-speaking peoples in the recovery of a shared inheritance — by recognising one another as kin and learning from one another what each has preserved and what each has lost.

Each year, a small cohort of people of exceptional capacity (drawn from politics, business, law, media, education, and community life) will be invited to undertake a year of formation with the institute.
The programme joins rigorous intellectual formation to mentorship from senior figures in public life, and asks every member to move from thought to action. It is also formation through encounter: with the texts, the places, and the living tradition that carried the inheritance of these islands.
You cannot love what you do not know, and you cannot steward what you do not love.
A supplementary programme for university students across the United Kingdom, taken alongside their degree, for those who wish to study the British inheritance as an inheritance: something received, valued, and passed on, rather than a problem to be deconstructed.
Students will study the institute's curriculum with tutors and fellow students from across the country, and join the wider life of the institute. Bursaries will be available so that the programme is open to students of every background.
