A formation institution for the preservation, transmission, and renewal of the intellectual and cultural inheritance of the English-speaking peoples.
Mission
The English-speaking peoples share a civilisational inheritance - of common law, constitutional government, individual liberty, and Christian faith - that is under sustained assault from within. The institutions that were built to transmit this inheritance have been captured by an ideology that is hostile to it.No existing institution in Britain or America combines a structured curriculum in the national inheritance, public-facing events and membership for the nationally-minded general public, and a closed leadership cohort that identifies and develops people with exceptional capacity to govern in the national interest.The Albion Institute fills this gap and its mission is to form nationally-minded leaders and an informed public capable of governing in the national interest as a civilisational obligation. We do this through a structured Academy curriculum in the British and Anglosphere inheritance, an annual conference and regional programme, and a leadership cohort that identifies and forms people of exceptional capacity across politics, business, law, media, education, and community life.The institute is British in its focus but Anglosphere in its scope. The British inheritance did not stay in Britain but rather crossed several oceans and produced the constitutional, legal, and cultural architecture of the English-speaking world. The American constitutional tradition preserved liberties that Britain itself has abandoned. The Albion Institute exists to unite the English-speaking peoples in the recovery of a shared inheritance by recognising one another as kin and learning from one another what each has preserved and what each has lost.

Morton's 1927 journey through England to discover what remains of the national inheritance and what has been lost in the emergence of a new country.The Albion Institute grew out of the conversations on Thinking Class and my journey through England, while three years of diagnosis led me to the conclusion that the inheritance will not survive unless an institution exists to transmit it. This is the Albion Institute's reason for being.
